Heritage Suites Hotel is launching a romantic Luxury Tented experience to offer guests a “different slice of Siem Reap”, says Jam Nsouli, general manager.
According to Nsouli, 60 per cent of its glamping guests are groups of friends; interestingly couples make up only 40 per cent.
“The number of guests from Asian source markets is picking up and it shows that travellers in Asia are seeing the appeal of off-the-beaten track Siem Reap, all without sacrificing modern convenience and luxury,” she added.
The experience commences with a morning tour of the Cambodian countryside in a Jeep, accompanied by a driver and guide, to discover local villages, hidden temples and archaeological wonders such as Prei Monti and Beng Mealea. On the way to the camp site, there will be a picnic lunch break amidst scenic spots like Poeung Komnou, which is surrounded by ancient Hindu carvings and lush greenery. Upon arrival at the glamping site, they will be greeted with a concocted cocktail.
For glamping first-timers, Nsouli suggests bringing a small weekender with light clothing, a water bottle to hydrate yourself (even during the cooler season), and a willingness to fall in love with nature.
Heritage Suites Hotel's Luxury Tented Camp experience is available from December 15, 2016 to February 28, 2017.
