Thai hospitality company Dusit International is bringing its affordable lifestyle brand, ASAI Hotels, to Malaysia with the 15 September opening of ASAI Gamuda Cove in Selangor.

The 280-key property, located within the 620-hectare Gamuda Cove township, will be the largest ASAI hotel to date and marks the brand’s first foray into Malaysia. It will also be the first ASAI property to open outside a city neighbourhood, following sister property openings in Bangkok and Kyoto.

Around 20 minutes by car from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, room options range from compact rooms for solo travellers to balcony rooms, bunk-bed configurations, and a two-room family category sleeping up to six guests.

Amenities include an infinity pool overlooking the wetlands, a gym, co-working areas, flexible meeting and event spaces accommodating up to 100 people, and three F&B venues.

The hotel offers an infinity pool overlooking the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands.

Outdoors fun

Set beside the 450-hectare Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, guests looking to stay close to a nature reserve and wildlife sanctuary can also check out the 90-acre Wetlands Arboretum – which comes with walking routes, birdwatching, and environmental learning activities.

The hotel is also approximately 20 minutes by car from Sepang International Circuit, where Formula 1 will return for the first time since 2017 with the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, taking place from 2–4 October 2026.

Families and adventure seekers have SplashMania Waterpark nearby, with 39 slides and attractions, as well as Discovery Park, an outdoor recreation and entertainment hub.

An electric tram network connects key destinations around Gamuda Cove, allowing guests to move between nature, recreation and commercial areas without relying entirely on private transport.
