Best Western International will be opening a new upscale hotel at Genting Highlands, Malaysia at the end of the year.

Operated under a franchise agreement between Best Western International and Ion Delemen Hospitality Sdn Bhd, Best Western Premier Genting Ion Delemen is the second high-end property for the company, after Best Western Premier The Haven Ipoh.

The new hotel sits on the doorstep of multiple attractions like Resorts World and Chin Swee Cave Temple, and will soon include the world’s first 20th Century Fox theme park scheduled to open in 2017.

Said Ian Hurst, general manager of Best Western, “While Genting Highlands has always been famous for its entertainment, theme parks, and casinos, the opening of several upcoming attractions such as the 20th Century Fox World Theme Park and Genting Premium Outlet will further position it as an ideal destination for a romantic getaway a well-deserved break with family and friends, and, not to mention, a cutting-edge business retreat.”

Offering a stunning panoramic view of the Titiwangsa Range from 6,000 feet above sea level, the 300-room property’s location within ancient and pristine rainforests also makes it attractive for city dwellers looking for a tranquil escapade.

The brand new hotel has been designed according to the five ‘feng shui’ elements, namely water, earth, wood, metal and fire, available in abundance from its mountainous surroundings, which is said to bring harmony to the property.

Highlights of the hotel include rooftop Asian restaurant Chopstix set in a light-filled space, and an indoor heated infinity pool that affords views of the valleys beyond.

Best Western International operates 57 properties in Asia Pacific with four in Malaysia, of which two are Best Western Premier brands.
