SEOUL - Hawaiian Airlines and Korean Air have expanded their marketing partnership with a new program that allows each carrier’s frequent flyer members to earn and redeem mileage credits on either carrier. Under the new program, members of Hawaiian’s HawaiianMiles and Korean Air’s SkyPass programs are now able to earn frequent flyer miles on all qualified flights operated by each carrier by providing their frequent flyer number at the time of booking or when checking in for their flight. HawaiianMiles members can redeem their miles for award travel on any Korean Air flight for roundtrip Coach Class and Business Class seating, subject to availability, while SkyPass members can redeem their miles for travel on any Hawaiian Airlines flight for roundtrip Coach and First/Business Class seating, subject to availability. The new frequent flyer agreement represents a deepening of the relationship between Hawaiian and Korean Air. The two airlines previously established codeshare agreements for Hawaiian’s customers traveling on select Korean Air flights within South Korea and to Bangkok, Thailand, as well as for Korean Air customers traveling on Hawaiian’s transpacific and interisland flights, including its new service between Incheon and Honolulu, launched 12 January 2011.
