Harbin is extending its tourism season with a summer edition of its Ice-Snow World in 2025, featuring five new attractions and ten additional experiences to support year-round travel.

The summer line-up includes the 23rd China Harbin International Beer Festival, riverside performance Encounter Harbin, panoramic fantasy show The King's Chariot, the Dream Ice and Snow Pavilion, and the Ice and Snow Art Gallery located within Sun Island.

Ten supporting experiences will accompany these, including a snowflake-shaped Ferris wheel, the Snow Rhyme Lilac Torch Square, eco-camping and RV hubs. The VR-led Ice Dragon's Pearl experience and a vintage car exhibition will also be introduced.

The expanded offerings are part of Harbin’s move to transform into an all-hour, all-season tourism destination. Supporting venues include the Dream Stage, Starlight Sports Complex, Four Seasons Recreation Center and Sun Island Green Sports Park.

This year’s Harbin International Beer Festival is set to be its largest to date, under the theme Raise a Glass to Invite the World to Enjoy Harbin. It will feature large beer tents, themed areas such as the Dream Stage and Snow Rhyme Lilac Torch Square, and a lineup of concerts and music festivals.

The announcement follows a strong tourism showing during the 9th Asian Winter Games earlier this year, where over 1,270 athletes from 34 countries and regions participated.

Flight bookings on the opening day rose by 47% year-on-year. Harbin also welcomed 12.15 million visits during the 2025 Spring Festival, with international arrivals up by 144.7%.

Harbin is currently recognised as one of China's ten international aviation hubs.
