Welcome 2019 in style at the Spectacle, an impressive indoor space inside the hotel that comprises the world’s largest area of permanent indoor LED screens. The 25 4K high-resolution digital screens will showcase the “Celebrating with the World” New Year’s Eve programme, a 22-hour live countdown marathon which begins when New Zealand’s time zone (GMT +13) strikes midnight at 7pm Macau local time.

Want to celebrate the New Year’s Eve countdown overseas but can’t decide on which country to go to? MGM COTAI in Macau will transform into a one-stop viewing destination on Dec 31, allowing visitors to celebrate global countdowns in 20 different cities across nine different time zones.

Welcome 2019 in style at the Spectacle, an impressive indoor space inside the hotel that comprises the world’s largest area of permanent indoor LED screens. The 25 4K high-resolution digital screens will showcase the “Celebrating with the World” New Year’s Eve programme, a 22-hour live countdown marathon which begins when New Zealand’s time zone (GMT +13) strikes midnight at 7pm Macau local time.

Thereafter, the screens will broadcast various celebrations in Asia and Europe before ending in the US’s West Coast (GMT -8) at 4pm local time the following day.

Guests at MGM COTAI can also enjoy the best view of the Spectacle’s countdown programme at the hotel’s celebrity chef restaurants Aji and Grill 58, which will feature their iconic dishes in a special festive banquet menu. Guests who join in the second seating from 8.30pm are entitled to join the exclusive countdown celebration at Grill 58’s Lounge with a complimentary glass of champagne to usher in the new year.

New Year’s Eve menus are also on offer at COTAI’s other restaurants – Five Foot Road, Chun, Hao Guo, Coast – as well as MGM Macau’s Aux Beaux Arts and Imperial Court. Entertainers will also roam both MGM properties to offer free photo-taking opportunities to guests with their Polaroid cameras.
