Arthur has spent over 20 years within the corporate travel industry in various senior management roles with BCD Travel, Advito, Finnair and Malaysia Airlines.

HRS has appointed Todd Arthur as managing director of its Asia Pacific operations.

Arthur has spent over 20 years within the corporate travel industry in various senior management roles with BCD Travel, Advito, Finnair and Malaysia Airlines.

He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) representing Asia.

At HRS, Arthur will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business, development of talent and driving organic growth with new and existing customers at a time when Asia’s travel economy – both inbound and outbound – continues to increase year-on-year.

The latest research from the Global Business Travel Association’s (GBTA) Business Travel Index (BTI) outlook report shares that Asia Pacific will account for 40% of global business travel spend in 2014.

“The Asia Pacific region has continued to produce solid growth over the last few years despite a competitive and fragmented market," Arthur said.

HRS employs more than 1,300 staff worldwide and maintains offices in Europe, Asia Pacific and South America. Expansion into Asia Pacific is a key global growth area for the company.
