Tokyo Bay will have a major new attraction with the 1 March opening of the Japan’s first immersive theme park.
'Immersive Fort Tokyo' will feature 12 attractions on Odaiba, Tokyo's
entertainment island that is known for pleasure cruising, vast shopping
centres and modern entertainment attractions.
The theme park will offer a large-scale theatre experience that lasts
for more than an hour, a full-scale horror experience, and an
experience where park visitors find themselves inside a spectacular show
that takes place inside a restaurant.
Odaiba's mega shopping outlets are another drawcard with Aqua City
Odaiba a highlight. This multi-purpose complex is filled with
entertainment, retail stores and restaurants.
Odaiba looks back at Tokyo's skyline and the Rainbow Bridge. This
area was once a series of small man-made fort islands, built to protect
Tokyo from possible attacks.
The islands were joined by landfill and developed into a futuristic
cityscape from the 1980s. In the late 1990s a monorail link, the
development of hotels and attractions turned the district into a major
tourist attraction.
