Resorts World Sentosa has partnered with Team Wang design – the
luxury streetwear label founded by pop star Jackson Wang – to create a
very spooky Halloween experience at Universal Studios Singapore.
In a collaboration first, Halloween Horror Nights 12 builds on the
success of Team Wang design’s concept space in Shanghai last year, which
featured a specially designed castle, Halloween carnival, and night
parade.
Under the Castle is a haunted house featuring characters Pumpkie and Spookie from Team Wang design SPARKLES.
And in Singapore there’s a dark twist.
As guests venture into the haunted house, they will uncover the
sinister secrets of the cursed castle, which lures its victims with a
ghostly green glow each year on Halloween night.
Guests brave enough to face the evil within must escape the terror or be trapped Under the Castle forever.
Team Wang design counts Jackson Wang as its creative director and
designer, and Henry Cheung as co-founder and CEO. Wang and Cheung were
both included in Forbes China 30 Under 30 list for 2023.
Cheung said Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween event had been a
powerhouse for more than a decade, “setting the gold standard for fear
and fun”.
The other three haunted houses at Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights 12 are:
- Singapore’s Most Haunted: The Killings
Drawing
inspiration from one of Singapore’s infamous haunted sites, this
attraction plunges guests into the eerie events that haunted its many
victims. As visitors venture through the haunted locale, they’ll face
tormented spirits and cursed figures, journeying past ominous stone
lions and deep into the core of the terror. - Cursed Scrolls: Dynasty of Darkness
Enter a
three-dimensional nightmare, where an ancient curse, unleashed by The
Scrollmaster—a Qing Dynasty scholar possessed by dark forces—brings
malevolent beings to life. This experience blends historical and
supernatural elements, creating an intensely unsettling atmosphere. - Sweet Home
Inspired by Netflix’s popular series Sweet Home,
this haunted house thrusts guests into a world where humans morph into
grotesque creatures, embodying their deepest, darkest desires. The
tight, oppressive environment and menacing monsters will keep visitors
in a constant state of suspense as they navigate this dystopian realm.
The event will also showcase three scare zones: "Vampire Alley,"
where guests must evade bloodthirsty vampires; "The Lost Kampung,"
haunted by vengeful spirits; and "Nether-Land," a rave overrun by undead
partygoers entranced by voodoo rhythms.
Additionally, three live performances will be featured, including
"Night Terrors," a projection mapping show inspired by Asian folklore,
and "Dark Dreams," which unravels the twisted story of the Dream Reaper.
For those seeking a break from the scares, the Viper Lounge offers a
speakeasy atmosphere with themed drinks and canapés, adding a luxurious
twist to the night.
Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 12 will span
across 18 event nights on select nights from 27 September to 2 November.
Tickets are available at S$90 for peak nights and S$80 for non-peak
nights.
