Melco Resorts & Entertainment has confirmed the return of its resident show, the House of Dancing Water, in the last quarter of 2024.
Chairman and chief executive Lawrence Ho Yau Lung, who made the announcement during a presentation in a joint press conference with Macau government officials on Saturday, plans to remount the House of Dancing Water in mid-November next year.
The House of Dancing Water was temporarily closed in June 2020 amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to The House of Dancing Water comeback, Melco Resorts will revisit its plan for residency shows at Studio City, featuring performances by Aaron Kwok, Leon Lai, and Joey Yung. A collective 90 shows are scheduled at the Studio City Event Center between 2023 and 2025.
Furthermore, an iRad Polyclinic, offering medical diagnostic and imaging services, is set to open in Studio City in 2024 in partnership with a Hong Kong entity.
The existing Studio City Water Park will undergo upgrades, with the opening of an indoor water park in 2023. Additionally, a new Cineplex at Studio City, featuring six theatres, one Imax theatre, and five Director’s Club theatres, will open in 2024. A skateboard park at Studio City, scheduled for 2024, aims to promote Macao as a sports-friendly city.
