Mandarin Oriental is debuting its first hotel in Austria on 20 October 2025, located in Vienna’s First District on Riemergasse. The property is housed in a heritage-listed former courthouse, an Art Nouveau building designed by Alfred Keller and completed in 1908. The structure has been restored to preserve its historic character while integrating modern design.

“Our aim is to create a place that is both a retreat for international travellers and a meeting place for locals with an appreciation of the extraordinary. The historic Art Nouveau building in Riemergasse provides the ideal setting for this,” said Mario Habicher, general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Vienna.

The hotel has 138 rooms and suites, including three Mandarin Signature Suites and a Royal Suite, which blend Viennese Art Nouveau charm with contemporary comfort. There are seven multifunctional boardrooms and a 140-sqm ballroom for meetings and events.

Atelier 7 – The Café serves specialty coffees, teas, and pastries, while Atelier 7 – Izakaya and Bar combines Art Nouveau style with Japanese-inspired cocktails.
