Umana Bali – Hilton’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts in Southeast Asia – has rolled out a curated range of immersive experiences that align with Tri Hita Karana, which encompasses a relationship with the divine (Parahyangan), people (Pawongan) and nature (Palemahan).
Among the signature experiences offered include consultations with a Balinese astrologer, who uses numerology and astrology to reveal the paths behind and ahead; making a kite with a master builder; or uncover the world of masked Balinese dancers before performances begin.
Guests whose birthdays coincide with their Balinese trip can book the Otonan ceremony, a centuries-old symbolic birthday act of spiritual renewal. Instead of a birthday candle, a sacred fire ring lights the way in this 60-minute ritual, guided by sacred offerings, incense, and holy water.
Families can go on morning walks through Ungasan village, visiting three local temples, wandering through a bustling morning market, and having a meal inside a traditional Balinese home. It’s also possible to receive a soul blessing purification ritual to the Batu Pageh Temple.
For the adventurous, a three-minutes' drive takes guests to the Fly Bali helipad, which charts an aerial course over Mount Batur’s volcanic peak, ancient temples, rice terraces, the panoramic southern beaches, before landing to a bespoke BBQ feast or a four-course dinner at the resort’s Mediterranean clifftop restaurant, Oliverra.
Within the resort, wellness experiences are continued at the Lohma Spa which incorporates ancient Balinese healing traditions, alongside in-house guided holotropic breathwork sessions, therapeutic vibrations of crystal and Tibetan sound bowls, and cold-water immersion.
Set atop the limestone cliffs of Ungasan overlooking Melasti Beach, each of Umana Bali’s 72 all-pool villas features a private pool with a heated open-air hot tub, as well as both indoor and outdoor living and dining spaces.
