Location and History

At the southern end of the Tepla River sits the palatial Grandhotel Pupp. One of the oldest hotels in central Europe, the Grandhotel Pupp's legacy dates to 1701, when the Pupp family, wealthy confectioners, constructed a grand hall. After various floods and fires destroyed the old buildings, the family started from scratch, constructing the River Side, the main hotel wing, in 1893.
