Location and History

Opened in 1856 as Pension Victoria, it expanded in 1899 by connecting to adjacent Hotel JungFrau by constructing a elongated, domed glass roof over the space between them, thus creating a wide central entrance corridor. The luxurious Victoria JungFrau Hotel soon attracted royalty, dignitaries, celebrities and other wealthy visitors. It has been welcoming such guests ever since.
