Location and History

This sand-colored hotel, resembling a castle and part of the newly named Virgin Hotels Collection, sits at 4,300 ft on a small bluff a few miles uphill from Asni village and commands spectacular views over a wide, dry valley with a Berber village and the more distant snow-capped Atlas Mountains. The original building, built in local Kasbah style, dates from 1920 when it was created as the spectacular, luxurious summer home of a local governor.
