A recent survey by Flight Centre has highlighted four countries in
Asia among the top-rated destinations for travellers in 2024: Japan,
Singapore, Turkey, and Vietnam. Japan secured fourth place with a strong
traveller satisfaction rate, followed by Singapore in sixth, Turkey in
ninth, and Vietnam in tenth.
Overall, Portugal has been ranked as the best country in the world
for travellers. The survey analysed responses from over 170,000
travellers across five continents—Australia, New Zealand, South Africa,
Canada, and the UK—to determine the top-rated countries and cities this
year.
Portugal achieved a satisfaction rate of 94%, closely followed by the
Cook Islands with a rate of 93%. Australia came in third, while Spain
rounded out the top five.

In the cities ranking, Perth, the capital of Western Australia, was
rated first. Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, followed in second
place, while Queenstown in New Zealand secured third.
Tokyo, Japan's bustling capital, ranked fourth, and Christchurch in
New Zealand came in fifth. Rarotonga, known for its white sand beaches
and turquoise lagoons, was ranked sixth. The list continues with
Barcelona in seventh place, Melbourne in eighth, Rome in ninth, and
Vancouver in tenth.
This survey highlights the preferences of global travellers and
reflects the growing appeal of these destinations across diverse
continents.
