The study's findings reveal that Phuket hosts a staggering 118 tourists for every local resident, highlighting the issue of overtourism" This overcrowding can lead to problems such as price inflation, increased pollution, and a decline in overall visitor satisfaction.

Phuket's predicament is not unique, as Pattaya and Krabi secure the second and third spots on the list. Pattaya is renowned for its vibrant nightlife, while Krabi boasts stunning beaches and water-based activities. Both destinations are grappling with similar issues of overcrowding.
