Security measures at hotels in Surabaya as well as 13 Indonesian airports have been tightened following the bombings that took place on Sunday and Monday.

The hotel has already put in place threat mitigation steps, security system audits and standard operating procedures, not only in Surabaya but in all Archipelago International hotels, Yudhari was quoted as saying according to The Jakarta Post.
Agus Triyono, general manager of Hotel Santika Gubeng, also said security had been increased in his hotel, “We have increased security measures and are constantly communicating with the police.”
Meanwhile, Indonesian state-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura I (AP I) has tightened security at 13 of its airports.
The company has intensified patrols around the airports, increased profiling through CCTV analysis, conducted random checks on vehicles and intensified coordination with external security forces, said AP I president director Faik Fahmi.
The number of security officers on duty has also been doubled. Surabaya’s Juanda International Airport has now 723 personnel standing guard, up from the usual 216, Straits Times reported.
Passengers are advised to arrive three hours before departure in anticipation of the intensified security checks on vehicles entering the airport, Faik said.
