By collaborating with airlines, eCommerce platforms and online travel
agencies for special offers on air tickets, hotels and other
experiences, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is on a quest to
attract China visitors to visit Macau for a longer duration over
different stages of the year.
Air ticket promotions that allow visitors to enjoy special offers when they book through the official websites of Air Macau, Trip.com, Ly.com,
Qunar and Fliggy, have been available since early this year.
Additionally, hotel discount coupons took effect from 23 February and
will be distributed to visitors on Trip.com, Meituan, Qunar, Ly.com, Zhixing App and Fliggy. The longer a visitor stays in Macau, the more special offers they’ll be able to rack up.
Partner platforms will also provide an assortment of themed travel
offers aligned with Macau’s varying festive holidays and events
throughout 2022, some of which comprise one-for-one air tickets,
half-priced hotel coupons and discounts on shopping, dining, and
attraction tickets.
To enhance the attractiveness of Macau as a destination, MGTO has
teamed up with travel key opinion leaders and other social media
influencers to promote its experiences on social networks.
MGTO has also released its latest promotional video that draws
attention to Macau’s wide spectrum of touristic offerings centred around
‘infinite fun’, showcasing the potentially endless activities to
explore in the destination that may entice visitors to stay longer for.
The tourism organisation says that it will continue partnering with
various platforms to highlight Macau as a safe and quality destination,
in turn boosting the tourism industry and economy’s revival.
