Hong Kong reveals its dream themes for 2024

Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) will be focusing on four key themes in 2024 with culinary, arts & culture, great outdoors and entertainment prominent among promotions.

Upcoming events from March to July 2024 include Art Basel, ComplexCon Hong Kong, Rugby Sevens, and Dragonboat and Cheung Chau Bun festivals.

From August to December, events include WinterFest, Tai Hang Fire Dragon, Cyclothon, Wine & Dine and New Year Countdown.

From South-east Asia, HKTB visitor arrivals reached 2.17 million in 2023. The biggest market was from the Philippines, which drew 763,778 visitors.

Thailand was next biggest with 450,372, followed by Singapore with 400,029; Malaysia with 258,191; Indonesia with 252,432; and Vietnam with 34,662.

Liew Chian Jia is HKTB’s newly appointed regional director for South-east Asia. Liew joined HKTB in 2017 and prior to this appointment, she was HKTB’s director of trade marketing for the South-east Asia.
