COMO The Treasury has launched a new wine immersion experience in partnership with Millbrook Winery, allowing travellers to literally fly into the winery.
Many visitors to Perth want to experience Western Australia’s famous food and wine, but don’t necessarily have the time to make the drive to the Margaret River wine region, which can take a couple of hours. To solve that problem, how about a helicopter ride?
COMO The Treasury has launched a new wine immersion experience in partnership with Millbrook Winery, allowing travellers to literally fly into the winery.
The experience begins with a helicopter tour over Perth that takes in iconic vistas of the Swan River and Cottesloe Beach, before flying to the Millbrook Winery. The estate is surrounded by the forests of Jarrahdale, with undulating hills and large lakes, making it feel a world away from the bustle of Perth’s city centre.
At Millbrook, guests will experience a wine blending session — with their own blended wine to take home — as well as a tour of the grounds, discovering what it takes to run one of the largest vineyards in Western Australia.
There is a place for travellers to grab a bite to eat as well. The Millbrook restaurant is headed by head chef Guy Jeffreys, who was named 2017 Chef of the Year by the West Australian Good Food Guide. Many of Jeffrey’s ingredients are sourced from the winery’s own garden, with over 100 varieties of hand-grown heirloom vegetables, as well as stone fruit, citrus, figs, apples, herbs, free-range eggs, olives and honey.
All in all, the Millbrook Winery Experience is priced at AUD 3,995 (US$2,836.64) for two people.
