Silversea Cruises' Silver Nova, the inaugural vessel of the line’s Nova-class, arrived in Hong Kong on 24 October 2024, marking its maiden call in Asia as part of its inaugural season in the region.

he ship, which departed Tokyo on 15 October, is currently on Silversea’s annual Venetian Society Reunion voyage, set to conclude in Singapore on 31 October.

The highlight of this year’s reunion voyage was an exclusive event at the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival on the Central Harbourfront. Organised through a collaboration between Silversea and the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the event provided Venetian Society members with VIP access to the festival, marking the largest collaboration to date between the cruise line and the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

“I am delighted to host my first Venetian Society Reunion voyage as president of Silversea, celebrating our guests’ loyalty aboard our beautiful Silver Nova,” said Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea. “On behalf of the entire Silversea team, I would like to thank the Hong Kong Tourism Board for its valued collaboration and for providing our guests with exclusive access to the Wine & Dine Festival – a truly special event here in the heart of Hong Kong.”

At the event, guests enjoyed performances by an ensemble of the Chinese Hong Kong Symphony Orchestra, a curated tasting of award-winning Chinese wines by sommelier Ian Dai, and Michelin-starred dim sum from chefs Robin Zavou and Chef Lung of Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

Dane Cheng, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, commented on the collaboration: “This…allows visitors to experience the city’s unique wine and dine ambience, contributing to the development of Hong Kong’s cruise tourism.”

Silver Nova will continue its journey, heading next to Singapore later this week.
