Princess Cruises has announced a new class of ships – the Voyager class – marking a three-ship order that will be the brand’s largest and most advanced to date.
The next-generation newbuilds are slated to be delivered in late 2035, 2038 and 2039.
Once in service, each ship will accommodate approximately 4,700 guests, making them the largest in the fleet. They will be built at Fincantieri's shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
Like sister ships Sun Princess and Star Princess, the Voyager class ships will be dual-fuel powered, primarily using liquefied natural gas (LNG).
On board, Princess Cruises said the Voyager ships will feature “completely reimagined outer decks, staterooms and Piazza designs”. The Piazza is Princess' multi-deck atrium.
Princess Cruises president Gus Antorcha said that the new ship class hopes to “strike the right balance between evolving our proven winners and introducing new concepts and partnerships”.
Specific details for the ship design, along with features and amenities, will be revealed at a later time.
