Since launching in 2022, Resorts World Cruises has swiftly carved a niche in the cruise industry, earning recognition for its tailored itineraries and unique onboard experiences.
Recently honoured with Best Cruise Line (Asia Pacific) and Best Cruise Line (Cuisine) at the Travel Weekly Asia Readers' Choice Awards 2024, the cruise line continues to enhance its appeal to both leisure and business travellers across the region.
According to Michael Goh, president of Resorts World Cruises, the company’s short and long-haul cruise offerings resonate strongly with Asian consumers. Popular itineraries include 2, 3, 4, and 5-night cruises aboard Genting Dream and Resorts World One.

For those seeking a quick getaway, the 2-night cruises, departing on Fridays, have become a top choice. Goh noted, “Our 5-night cruises to Japan, with stops at three destinations, are also a standout. This is a rare feature for a 5-night cruise, which makes it a unique proposition for our guests.” The introduction of Balcony Class benefits has also been well-received, further enhancing the onboard experience.
Resorts World Cruises is also expanding its reach into the Middle Eastern market with the new homeport in Dubai. Drawing on decades of experience catering to the Gulf market, Resorts World One has been adapted to provide Muslim-friendly services and certified Halal cuisine.

Goh shared, “We’ve tailored our ship’s offerings with themed events such as the ‘Enchanting Arabian Nights Party’ and ‘Bollywood Parties’ to align with the local culture. These new additions reflect our commitment to providing exciting, culturally relevant experiences.” The ship also boasts three weekly round-trip departures, catering to the growing demand in the region.
Looking ahead, Resorts World Cruises is optimistic about the future of the Asian cruise market. Goh expressed confidence in the continued growth of the sector, especially as awareness of cruising’s benefits continues to rise.
He pointed to the fly-cruise and MICE segments as key areas of potential growth, stating, “We are seeing a wider demographic embrace cruising, and with this growth comes new opportunities for us to offer diverse experiences.”
