Oceania Cruises is targeting the solo travel market with more
dedicated staterooms specifically designed to accommodate just one pax.
The Vista had earlier sold out of its Solo Oceanview Staterooms during
its sailings earlier this year. Following its success, the Regatta,
Nautica, Insignia and Sirena will soon each offer 14 staterooms for solo
travellers.
“One of the greatest factors in Oceania Cruises’ success is that we
not only listen to the feedback our guests and travel partners provide,
we act on it. Our guests and travel partners wanted more options for
solo travellers and more diverse tour offerings, and we are delighted to
deliver,” said Howard Sherman, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
Sherman recommends the new Solo Oceanview Staterooms for cruisers
“seeking the joy of travelling solo while experiencing all the comfort,
cuisine and destination expertise that Oceania Cruises is renowned for”.
These staterooms will all be located on Deck 6 across its four ships,
each fully equipped with a queen bed, mini fridge, a work station that
doubles up as a dressing table and an ensuite bathroom. The Solo
Oceanview Staterooms will be available for booking on 11 April for
sailings commencing from Regatta on September 25; Nautica on September
26; and Insignia and Sirena on October 1.
In response to their guests’ demands for more sustainable offerings,
Oceania Cruises has introduced 150 Go Green tours that allow guests to
engage with residents and businesses around the world to learn how they
are working to conserve the environment. These tours range from visiting
a sustainable vineyard in Spain to learning about hydroponic farming in
the rainforests of Saint Kitts. These tours encompass Africa, Alaska,
Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the
Middle East, Northern Europe and South America.
Beyond their sustainable tours, Oceania Cruises' Beyond Blueprints
tours offer guests the chance to take a look behind the scenes of some
of the world’s most iconic landmarks such as The Royal Library and The
Blue Planet aquarium in Copenhagen, Denmark; the Equinor office building
and the Munchmuseet in Oslo, Norway; and La Villa Mediterranée and
MUCEM Marseille, France.
