Adora Cruises has revealed the name of its second large cruise ship, the Adora Flora City, during a recent event in Guangzhou, Guangdong province. This announcement marks a significant step in China’s growing cruise industry, following the successful introduction of the Adora Magic City, the first China-built large cruise ship.

The Adora Flora City, inspired by Guangzhou’s designation as the "Flower City," is set to provide international voyages from Guangzhou once completed. The ship will feature 2,130 cabins, accommodating up to 5,232 guests at full capacity, and is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026.

Designed to enhance the onboard experience, the new vessel will offer expanded public spaces, more suites, and modern entertainment facilities. Notable features will include a double-sized atrium and larger social areas compared to its predecessor.

Yang Guobing, chairman of Adora Cruises, remarked, "As China's premier cruise brand, we are dedicated to expanding our fleet, optimizing deployment and enhancing the guest experience."

With the Adora Flora City homeported in Guangzhou, Adora Cruises aims to further develop its "Cruise + Culture" strategy, integrating Chinese culture into the cruise experience for guests.

Additionally, the Adora Mediterranea, known as the "Ship of Art," is set to depart from Guangzhou on December 18 this year. Currently, Adora Cruises operates two vessels—Adora Magic City and Adora Mediterranea—which together serve nearly 380,000 domestic and international guests, highlighting the growth and potential of China's cruise sector.
