Silversea’s Silver Nova, the first of two Nova-class ships, will make its Asia-Pacific debut at the end of September, running through April next year.

The ship will begin its inaugural season in Asia, arriving in Kushiro (Hokkaido, Japan) on 27 September for two regional voyages. In November, it will head to Australia and New Zealand for seven sailings, ranging from 16 to 18 days, between 18 November 2024 and 24 February 2025, before returning to Asia through April 2025.

“We are thrilled to finally be celebrating the arrival of the beautiful Silver Nova in Asia-Pacific,” said Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea.

Asia gets a taste of S.A.L.T.

Silver Nova’s launch in Asia-Pacific will also introduce Silversea’s S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) culinary programme to the region, with standout shore experiences in iconic destinations.

In Japan, guests will participate in a fermentation workshop and enjoy an eight-course lunch at a Zen retreat in Osaka. Australia highlights include a deep dive into native ingredients with renowned chef Nornie Bero in Melbourne and foraging at Adelaide's Botanic Gardens with chef Tom Tilbury. In Tasmania, chef Analiese Gregory will lead an immersive cooking masterclass. Guests in New Zealand will enjoy a five-course wine-paired meal at Craggy Range winery in Hawke's Bay.

Onboard, the S.A.L.T. Kitchen will offer a daily changing menu inspired by local cuisines, while the S.A.L.T. Lab will host hands-on cooking workshops with regional ingredients. Guests can further explore the region’s culinary landscape at the S.A.L.T. Chef’s Table, an intimate dining experience for up to 18 guests.
