For the first time ever, Macao is hosting the spectacular International Cities of Gastronomy Fest from 14-23 June 2024. This large-scale gastronomic extravaganza provides the perfect opportunity for travellers to experience Macao's unique culinary culture
and creative flair as the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
Organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the 10-day feast celebrates the concerted development of "tourism + gastronomy”. With free shuttles running to the festival
grounds from major hotels and landmarks, getting a taste of this extraordinary event couldn't be easier.
Here's a closer look at the mouthwatering festivities awaiting visitors:
International Gastronomy Promenade
At Macau Fisherman's Wharf, an expansive outdoor food festival unfolds daily from 3:30 pm to 10 pm, spanning the Roman Amphitheatre Square and Legend Boulevard. Over 100 food stalls offer delicacies from Asian Cities of Gastronomy, complemented by cultural
performances and dining options from 54 local Macanese restaurants.

Witness world-class culinary talents in action at this highlight, where chefs from 27 Cities of Gastronomy including Macao will take the stage for 62 live cooking demonstrations. It's a rare chance for foodies to see the masters at work up close while
sampling their unique creations and learning about diverse gastronomic cultures.
International Gastronomy Forum
First held in 2016, the thought-provoking forum returns with the theme "Holistic Gastronomy: Eat well, live well." Delegates from Cities of Gastronomy worldwide will join catering leaders and representatives from China's Creative Cities Network to discuss
the interplay of gastronomy and wellness for a more sustainable future.
Why Macao is the ultimate travel destination for foodies
In 2017, Macao was designated a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. With a fusion of Portuguese and Chinese influences, Macao boasts the world's highest concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants alongside humble street vendors serving classic
specialties like pork chop buns and egg tarts.
For travel agents seeking to captivate clients with a sensory-rich journey, Macao's inaugural International Cities of Gastronomy Fest offers a unique dive into its UNESCO Gastronomy status.
