The global network’s new direction into Asia is a result of a gradual demand for the region.

Global DMC Network by JTB Group has launched into the Asia Pacific region with its newest member, Kuoni Global Travel Services.

The global network’s new direction into Asia is a result of a gradual demand for the region.

Inbound travel to the Asia Pacific region reached 316 million trips in 2018 and will increase by 12 million per year past 2021, according to Euromonitor predictions.

Kuoni GTS already has experience in the market by providing mini group tours catering to Asian markets. Tour East, a DMC-member based in Singapore, will expand its product range to become the widest online product distributor in the Asia Pacific area, offering an extensive range of tours, transfers, sightseeing and packages to a growing global market.

Additionally, Tour East has a new website focusing on delivering a high level of service to customers.

Tour East will open an operational support centre in Los Angeles to deliver expert destination knowledge directly to its industry partners. The DMC will also open a sales office in São Paulo, Brazil to further expand its development market.

Kuoni Global Travel Services and Tour East will showcase their products and expertise at this year’s ITB Asia 2018 in Singapore at the same Global DMC Network by JTB booth with other specialists from Travel Plaza International (representing the US), Tumlare Destination Management (Europe), Europamundo Vacaciones, JTB Global Marketing & Travel Inc. (Japan) and Lotte JTB (Korea).
