From Indonesia's Raja Ampat to Burj Khalifa in Dubai, destinations in Asia and the Middle East remain at the forefront of travellers' minds.
Unforgettable Travel Company released a list of 50 bucket list experiences most searched for on the Internet. Among which, 20% are in Asia and the Middle East.
In fact, a trip to the top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai was the most searched destination globally. Being able to host up to 35,000 people at once, the world’s tallest freestanding structure is often referred to as a Vertical City. And with 10,000 searches a month for ‘Burj Khalifa tickets’, people are certainly keen to explore its 160 storeys.
Web users are craving intrepid experiences. On the list of top 10 experiences in Asia and the Middle East are Hiking to the Mount Everest base camp in Nepal (2nd), Diving at Indonesia’s Raja Ampat islands (6th) and Swimming in the Dead Sea (8th).
There is also a longing for Asia's scenic icons. Among the most searched Asian experiences are touring the Taj Mahal (2nd), travelling to Japan during cherry blossom season (4th), watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat (7th) and viewing the sunrise at the temple of Borobudur (10th).
