It has revamped its website to inspire the travel trade, make it easier for travel agents to find sustainable travel options and guest experiences in the countries where it operates — Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Sustainable travel can help local people and the environment and destination management company Khiri Travel, which specialises in Asian destinations, connects travel agents to local tour operators.  

It has revamped its website to inspire the travel trade, make it easier for travel agents to find sustainable travel options and guest experiences in the countries where it operates — Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

The website showcases different aspects of responsible tourism with links to different sections on culinary, adventure, people, family, news and events, responsible and sustainable travel and more.

For instance, under responsible tourism, the visually-driven site addresses issues such as animals in tourism, do’s and don’ts in Myanmar and child-safe tourism. 

Founder Willem Niemeijer says, “Responsible travel practices are at the core of our Khiri’s travel experiences for the travel trade and our new website shows this. Over the last 25 years we have made a firm commitment to social and environmental sustainability in a part of Asia known for its great beauty, charm and cultural variety.”

Khiri operates in 17 offices across eight countries.
