The MATTA Fair March 2019 organised by the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) held March 15 to 17 at Putra World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur attracted about 113,685 visitors with an estimated total sales value of RM220 million, compared to 93,084 visitors and RM210 million sales at the previous MATTA Fair last September.
MATTA President Datuk Tan Kok Liang said, “The MATTA Fair continues to strengthen its position as ‘Malaysia’s No. 1 Largest Consumers Travel Fair’ with the highest number of visitors in the history of MATTA Fair since 1991. The result of the three-day Fair marks a 22% rise in visitors compared to the previous Fair in September 2018.
“It is amazing to see the continuous queues at the ticketing counters by the public at the Fair despite times of economic uncertainty such as Brexit, US-China trade war and the nation’s financial recovery.”
