BEIJING - Online travel platform FlashTrip will be launching an English site later in September, along with other integrated campaigns as part of its expansion plans in key Asia-Pacific markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan and Korea.
Other languages will be available on the platform from October 2019.
Founded in 2018 by Steve Li, who also founded AI-based travel platform WEEGO, the Beijing-headquartered startup mainly targets “young, mid-class frequent travellers pursuing high-quality travel experiences”, according to a press release released.
Funded by several private equity firms including New Horizon Capital and Pingan Capital, the fast-growing company has reached US$15 million in revenue in 1H2019 with 30% CAGR, and is expected to exceed US$35 million by the end of the year.
The company cooperates with over 30 international hotel groups, and currently covers more than 80 destinations around the world.
As part of its aim to become a world-leding platform with expected annual revenue of US$1 billion, FlashTrip said it will also look at mergers and acquisitions of international travel brands.
