Chan Brothers Travel will triple its chartered direct flights to Bhutan and Uzbekistan over 2025 and 2026, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Drukair Corporation, Bhutan’s national flag carrier.

The announcement was made ahead of the Chan Brothers Wanderful Travel Fair, taking place from 11 to 13 July 2025 at Marina Square level 2 Central Atrium. The fair celebrates the company's 60th anniversary and features new itineraries, flash deals and remote destinations.

“As we mark our 60th year, 'New Skies, New Stories' is a bold, visionary statement of where we are headed,” said Chan Guat Cheng, executive director of Chan Brothers Travel. “Our mission is clear – we are opening new doors and charting new routes to experience the world anew.”

The MOU also outlines plans for collaborative product development and joint marketing with national tourism authorities.

Tandi Wangchuk, CEO of Drukair Corporation, said: “People are looking for authentic, exotic and exclusive destinations but are faced with time constraints and lack of direct flights to these places. Chan Brothers Travel through their charter services provide point-to-point travel bypassing the transit airports.”

Damcho Rinzin, director of Bhutan’s Department of Tourism, added, “Bhutan focuses on regenerative tourism... we want to make the lives of the people better and most importantly, we want to make the experience of tourists in Bhutan better.”

His Excellency Alisher Kayumov, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Singapore, said the initiative will “significantly reduce travel time and make trips more comfortable.”

Chartered flights to Uzbekistan are scheduled to begin in December.

At the fair, promotions include discounts of up to S$4638 (US$3617) per couple and various limited-time booking bonuses.
