Two major players in the online travel space are joining hands to
forge a strategic partnership that will enable Klook's attractions to be
available on Booking.com.
Booking.com's
integration with Klook in Asia Pacific, following similar collaboration
with Musement and Viator in the North American and European markets, is
a key move in its "connected trips vision" to provide travellers with
seamless access to a greater range of attractions and travel experiences
around the world, said Matthias Schmid, SVP for Booking.com's trips division.
Together with Klook's experiences encompassing 175 cities across 30 markets, Booking.com
offers travellers a wider diversity of tours and attractions from
popular 'must-do' activities to niche and unusual experiences in over
1,100 destinations.
"This new partnership will significantly increase our coverage and offering within the region," said Matthias Schmid, SVP for Booking.com's trips division. "We’re very excited about this collaboration and all the new attractions and experiences we can now provide.”
The partnership also marks "a significant milestone" for Klook, said
chief commercial officer, Wilfred Fan, as the Asia-focused travel and
experiences platform has expanded its domestic offerings across across
the region during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Cross-border travel in Asia Pacific is just taking off, and this
partnership will enable our merchants to reach an even larger customer
demographic globally and accelerate travel recovery in the region.”
Besides the extensive range of experiences available for consideration on Booking.com's
Attractions tab, travellers can use the platform for all of their
travel requirements, including booking a flight, renting a car,
arranging a local tour and finding their preferred accommodation.
