Singapore has scored another win for its 2021 events calendar, with
the confirmation of the annual Hotel Investment Conference Asia Pacific
(HICAP) and the Alternative Ownership Conference Asia Pacific (AOCAP),
organised by Northstar Travel Group and The BHN Group.
The 32nd HICAP will take place from 20-22 October, while the 6th
AOCAP will run from 19-20 October. The crossover evening on 20 October
will see a networking session for participants at both in-person events,
which will be hosted live at Fairmont Singapore and Swissotel The
Stamford.
The APAC event is expected to gather the region's hotel investment
community, which includes owners, developers, lenders, executives and
professional advisors from around the globe.
Jeff Higley, president of The BHN Group, believes that "live,
in-person events will begin to re-emerge as 2021 unfolds and there will
be great interest in executives re-engaging with colleagues and
partners, as well as looking for new business opportunities".
“This represents a new chapter for HICAP as the industry begins its
recovery from the painful and prolonged downturn caused by the global
pandemic," he added.
“Singapore has been at the forefront of the world’s recovery from the
novel coronavirus and we will be in lock-step with the protocols and
guidelines put in place to ensure a safe and healthy environment for
each of our delegates.”
HICAP marks yet another global event that has chosen to relocate to
Singapore. The World Economic Forum had similarly announced its decision
to move its global leadership summit from Switzerland to the Lion City
from 13-16 May.
The 31st annual HICAP was held virtually between 21-23 October 2020 in Hong Kong.
Registration for the conferences will open during the first quarter
of 2021. Sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting [email protected].
