Nomadic Knights managing director, Alex Pirie, has been handed the first of 15 Himalayan bikes his India-based company is purchasing at Royal Enfield’s showroom in Goa.
Nomadic Knights has become the first motorcycle tour company to receive Royal Enfield’s new ‘Himalayan’ adventure bike.
Nomadic Knights managing director, Alex Pirie, has been handed the first of 15 Himalayan bikes his India-based company is purchasing at Royal Enfield’s showroom in Goa.
“Royal Enfield’s new, ground-breaking Himalayan adventure bike promises to change the face of motorbike touring in India and I’m very proud Nomadic Knights is the first motorcycle tour operator to offer them on rides,” Pirie said.
“Our Himalayan routes offer some of the best motorcycle adventure territory in the world and now our riders will be able to enjoy them in more comfort aboard a bike named after the world’s highest peaks.”
From April 2017, Nomadic Knights will replace the classic Royal Enfield Bullet on its India tours with Royal Enfield’s Himalayan – the first new design for the motorcycle builder in 50 years.
Established in 1893 and made in India, the legendary Royal Enfield brand of motorcycles is the oldest motorbike design in history.
A Scot who moved to India in 2008, Pirie has ridden more than 200,000km across India on classic Royal Enfield motorbikes.
