Insight Vacations has unveiled women-only tours designed to cater to
the needs and preferences of female travellers. These small group tours,
tailored specifically for women by women, are set to debut in 2025,
aiming to foster solo travel while highlighting women's roles in the
travel industry.
The initiative stems from a research conducted with Journey Women,
surveying over 1,000 female travellers. Results revealed that 65% of
respondents actively seek tour companies offering women-only or solo
trips for women. Additionally, 43% expressed feeling overlooked by the
travel industry, particularly in catering to solo or older female
travellers.
“Our women-only tours are something we've carefully developed for
women by women to meet their unique needs of exploring new cultures,”
said Mae Cheah, managing director, Asia, TTC Tour Brands.
These tours promise enriching experiences, including encounters with
remarkable women making an impact in various communities worldwide.
For instance, travellers going on a Peru tour will meet Quechua
weavers in Peru's Sacred Valley, learning about the cultural
significance of their craft. Meanwhile, a tour in Italy offers a chance
to engage with a weaving association in Perugia, run entirely by women,
and a Morocco tour will feature a baking class at a women's cooperative
empowering aspiring female chefs.
Recognising the importance of community and shared experiences,
Insight Vacations will also launch the "Insight Vacations Women-Only
Travel Community" on Facebook. This platform aims to facilitate
discussions, exchange travel tips, and foster connections among female
travellers worldwide.
With a focus on detail and ensuring guest comfort, Insight Vacations
assures ample availability of single rooms for solo travellers,
alongside meticulously curated itineraries. As Mae Cheah affirms, "we
are always looking to create exceptional experiences that enable women
to explore the world with confidence”.
