Discova, the global destination management company that specialises in bespoke touring groups and responsible travel, has welcomed Grasshopper Adventures into its family.
According to Discova’s managing director Suyin Lee, “Grasshopper’s strong reputation of being a quality and premium operator and their focus on safety and sustainability made them our first choice when seeking an extension to our growing family.”
The addition of this tour operator adds to Discova’s expanding portfolio of sustainably driven travel products, which Lee believes "will reinforce our position as a truly immersive and responsible global DMC”.
Grasshopper Adventures, founded in 2004, is lauded as one of the top leading operators of sustainably focused bicycle tours centred around multi-day adventures.
When the pandemic hit the travel industry, Grasshopper Adventures’ CEO Adam Platt-Hepworth moved into the US and Australia, capitalising on the demand for domestic travel and the uptick for outdoor fitness-drive experiences.
Platt-Hepworth will remain as chief of Grasshopper Adventures, while simultaneously taking on the role of general manager for active travel in Discova. In his new position, Platt-Hepworth hopes to “unlock the significant capability of their footprint” and further redefine “the incredible value proposition that our tours present”.
