Youth travel specialist Contiki is significantly expanding its global trip offerings by launching 9 brand new itineraries across multiple continents and destinations. The new tours aim to provide more unique, local experiences that allow young travellers to go off-the-beaten-path and immerse themselves in different cultures.

One of the marquee new trips is the 12-day North American Glaciers and National Parks tour through the jaw-dropping natural scenery of Banff, Jasper, and Glacier National Parks in Canada and the United States. It features experiences like riding the iconic Red Jammer buses, playing ice hockey with professionals, and learning about Indigenous traditions firsthand.

Contiki is also expanding its presence in the rapidly growing Vietnam market with a new 5-day trip dedicated to the country's famed Ha Giang Loop in the northern region. Highlights include a boat ride on the Nho Que River and a chance to learn about the H'mong ethnic minority's art and crafts from local guides.

After successful recent launches of tours in South Korea, Contiki will now offer an extended 'South Korean Soul' itinerary that spends 4 days on Jeju Island - making it one of the first youth travel companies to offer this experience targeting interest in the island's haenyeo (free-diving women) culture and K-drama film locations.

Some of the most adventurous new offerings include the Gorilla Trek in Rwanda for ethical gorilla viewing in their natural habitat, as well as a trekking trip from Delhi to Kathmandu with varying difficulty levels. There is also a new Cape Town city explorer trip in South Africa.

"Contiki's 9 new trips are packed with incredible views and experiences that are truly authentic and unique...Every trip is carefully planned so travellers can focus on making memories with new friends," said Nick Lim, CEO Asia of parent company The Travel Corporation.

The expanded destination lineup reflects increasing demand among young travellers to go beyond typical tourist haunts in pursuit of more immersive cultural experiences and adventures off-the-beaten-path.
