For travellers spending weeks or months away from home, wellbeing is rarely shaped by a single therapeutic treatment or wellness escape. More often, it comes down to the small routines that help them feel rested, focused and balanced throughout everyday life.

As extended stays become increasingly common across Asia Pacific – driven by work assignments, relocation, and bleisure travel – hospitality operators are rethinking how they can support guests beyond accommodation. For serviced residences in particular, the conversation is shifting from wellness as an occasional indulgence to wellness as something integrated into daily living.

This broader shift has prompted Frasers Hospitality’s new wellness programme, The Wellness Edit, which seeks to weave daily wellbeing practices into the fabric of a guest’s stay.

Designed for the rhythms of life

Developed in collaboration with Frasers Hospitality's wellness expert, Heike Cushway, whose work focuses on translating wellbeing and longevity principles into practical everyday habits, The Wellness Edit is structured around three pillars: Mindfulness & Mental Reset, Rest & Recovery, and Movement & Fitness.

Movement & Fitness is one of the key pillars of The Wellness Edit.

Rather than treating wellness as a standalone facility or a pampering treat, the programme focuses on simple, restorative habits that can be easily integrated into daily life. It is designed to meet guests where they are – offering tools and rituals that can slot into a demanding schedule, adapt to different stay lengths and feel relevant whether they are a business executive on secondment, a family mid-relocation or a bleisure traveller navigating an unfamiliar city.

Making wellbeing part of everyday travel

At the heart of The Wellness Edit is a series of guided rituals created exclusively for Frasers Hospitality. Structured as short, self-guided practices, these rituals help guests reset and recharge throughout the day, from rebalancing between meetings, to winding down in the evening or reconnecting as a family.

In-room guides provide prompts for moments of mindfulness and reflection.

The approach is intentionally simple. Instead of asking guests to commit to scheduled classes, treatments or intensive programmes, wellness is delivered through small moments that are easy to access and repeat. In-room digital guides, audio content and ritual cards provide prompts for breathing exercises, mindfulness, movement and reflection, allowing guests to engage on their own terms, at their own pace.

For business travellers, that might mean pausing for a guided breathing ritual between meetings, enjoying a calming cup of wellness tea for a midday reset, or an aromatherapy spritz to ease into a good night’s rest.

For families, shared gratitude exercises or bedtime rituals can help foster connection and stability during periods of transition or relocation. Whether it's taking a few calming breaths together or winding down with a simple mindfulness routine, these moments create a sense of comfort and togetherness, particularly for children adjusting to a new environment.

These wellness touchpoints can all be found within the room or residence, including nourishing breakfast options and healthy minibar selections that encourage everyday wellbeing habits during longer stays.

How destinations shape the wellness experience

While the programme is underpinned by a consistent wellness philosophy, each property tailors its offerings according to its destination, facilities and guest profile. This flexibility allows wellness experiences to feel locally grounded rather than overly standardised, an increasingly important factor for travellers seeking authenticity and personal relevance.

It also creates opportunities for guests to mindfully engage with their destination. While some properties may point guests toward nearby nature trails and green spaces for morning walks or outdoor mindfulness activities, others may partner with local wellness studios for yoga, Pilates, hydrotherapy, or cold-water recovery sessions, giving guests options beyond what the property itself can offer.

As extended stays continue to grow across Asia Pacific, serviced residences are evolving from functional accommodation into lifestyle ecosystems. With The Wellness Edit, Frasers Hospitality is taking a more integrated view of the long-stay experience. By weaving wellness into the fabric of everyday life, it creates positive behavioural shifts that help guests rest, reset and cultivate simple rhythms for living, long after their stay ends.

The Wellness Edit will be progressively rolled out across Frasers Hospitality’s brands and properties from August.
