For the first time, the Pickleball World Cup is heading to Asia, with Da Nang setting up the stage this 30 August to 6 September.
The last edition was held in Florida, United States, which saw over 3,000 participants representing more than 60 countries globally. Lima, Peru hosted the inaugural event in 2023, and again in 2024.
Vietnam will host the tournament’s next edition of the global event at the Tien Son Sports Centre, Tuyen Son Sports Complex as well as other key venues citywide.
Some 4,000 athletes from over 80 countries and territories are expected to join the sporting meet, which the government hopes will boost the local tourism, services and sports sector.
Hercilio Cabieses, CEO of the Pickleball World Cup said that this would be the largest international pickleball tournament ever in Asia.
Pickleball World Cup 2026 will feature both national and individual categories, ranging across age groups and skill levels.
The tournament will offer a total prize pool of US$500,000, alongside a special trophy which will introduced in Da Nang.
Registration opens 1 May 2026.
