Six Continents Hotels, with Perot Systems, has launched an enhanced travel agency commission programme called Electronic Commission Services (ECS).

The new programme is an enhancement of the previous Travel Agency Commission Programme that the hotel chain has been providing for travel agents.

One of the new features includes a reporting capability in which commission invoices will be available online by the fifth day of each month.

ECS will also enable requests from hotels for specialised reporting on 18 months of historical data on commissions paid.

Both hotels and travel agencies worldwide will have the capability to have secured access to payment information. With such a feature, they will be able to resolve commission inquiries and also generate an inquiry if the record of payment is not found.

Patrick Imbardelli, vice president, marketing, Six Continents Hotels Asia/Pacific, said the new scheme “marks our strategy to meet the needs of travel agents, as much as we do our guests, who play a very crucial role in filling our hotels and resorts with customers, providing a high yield revenue stream to the business.

“We are convinced that our guaranteed and centralised payment will instill confidence in travel agents to start or carry on doing business with us.”
