SIA to launch self-service check-ins in Singapore

SINGAPORE – Singapore Airlines (SIA) will be starting self-service kiosks in September at Changi Airport. With this new service, the passengers will be able to select seats and print their own boarding passes and luggage tags in Terminal 2. They can then drop their bags at the counters to be loaded onto the plane. According to reports, SIA spokesman Stephen Forshaw said that the self-service check-in kiosk will helps to reduce waiting time during peak hours.
