SHANGRI-LA Hotels plans to double hotels in China

SHANGHAI--SHANGRI-LA Hotels and Resorts said it plans to double its China portfolio to around 50 hotels over the coming three to five years in an effort to accommodate growing demand from business and leisure travelers in the country. The Hong Kong-based luxury hotel group runs a total of 27 hotels in the country under two brands, the five-star Shangri-La and the four-star Traders.
