The Lind Hotels will expand into Palawan with the opening of The Lind Coron in 2027, marking the homegrown Filipino hospitality brand's first property in the destination.
The project represents a return to Coron, where the company made its first property acquisition more than a decade ago before choosing Boracay as the launch site for The Lind brand.
“Coron offers a rare combination of natural beauty and untapped potential,” said Pierre Henrichs, COO of The Lind Hotels. “Our goal is not only to be part of its growth, but to help shape its future by bringing a new standard of hospitality to the destination.”
The resort will feature 91 rooms and villas overlooking Coron's coastline. Private villas will include dipping pools and dedicated villa hosts, while dining options will include Yím, the brand's modern Thai restaurant, and Crust, a Mediterranean-inspired venue located beside the infinity pool.
The property will also house The Spa Wellness Coron, bringing the wellness brand's treatments to Palawan, alongside a dive centre offering access to Coron's famed reefs, lagoons and World War II shipwreck sites.
In addition to leisure facilities, the resort will target events and celebrations with a range of indoor and outdoor venues. These include The Gallery, an indoor function space for up to 200 guests, The Cove outdoor venue and a rooftop deck with panoramic views of the sea and surrounding mountains.
Henrichs said the company aims to create a resort that complements rather than competes with its natural surroundings.
“We aim to create a resort that belongs in its setting rather than competes with it,” added Henrichs. “We want guests to experience the beauty, authenticity and adventure of Coron while enjoying the hospitality and service they have come to associate with The Lind Hotels.”
