Reservations are open for Asia’s first Canopy by Hilton resort, opening on 1 April at Okinawa, Japan.
Canopy by Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort will be the second resort globally for the lifestyle-driven brand, following the first Seychelles outpost in 2024.
Located approximately 300km southwest from Okinawa’s main island, Miyako Island is known for its clear blue waters and is home to the popular Yonaha Maehama Beach.
The hotel offers 306 rooms and suites – kids under six years old stay for free.
Guests can explore the spa and 24-hour fitness centre, rooftop pool, chapel, banquet hall, as well as enjoy BBQs or a picnic at the round activity lawn area – which comes with giant chess and Jenga displayed outdoors.
For dining, there’s an all-day restaurant showcasing Miyakojima's seasonal flavors, a grill restaurant, and a rooftop bar overlooking the Irabu Bridge for sunset drinks.
Guests will also be able to access the amenities at neighboring Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort.
Shimojishima Airport is about 25 minutes away, or guests can hop on a 15-minute complimentary shuttle from Miyako Airport.
