Hilton has signed an agreement with Tradewinds Corporation Berhad to
expand its flagship brand in Malaysia with the Hilton Burau Bay Resort
Langkawi, slated to open in 2024.
The resort marks Tradewinds Corporation Berhad’s fourth property with
Hilton, following Hilton Petaling Jaya, Hilton Kuching, and the
recently announced Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur.
The 251-room resort will be Hilton’s second property in Langkawi,
joining The Nautilus Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton scheduled to
debut in 2023.
When it opens, Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi will join Hilton’s
portfolio of 13 existing properties across three brands, with another
nine in the pipeline.
The beachfront resort will be located along Langkawi’s western
coastline, offering views of the Straits of Malacca and direct access to
a 600-metre-long beach. It’s also surrounded by rainforests and
overlooks the Gunung Mat Cincang, Seratosa Island, and Burau Island.
Within Hilton Burau Bay Resort Langkawi, amenities include an
executive lounge and five dining concepts including an all-day dining
restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a pool bar. There’s also a spa,
indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness centre, and basketball and tennis
courts.
For corporate group looking to host business events or couples
seeking destination weddings, the resort also offers an events space
spanning approximately 800sqm, and a ballroom of approximately 400sqm.
By car, travellers can reach the resort via a 15-minute drive from
the Langkawi Airport or 40 minutes from the Kuah Jetty. The resort is
conveniently located in close proximity to popular tourist attractions
such as the Langkawi Cable Car & Sky Bridge, Pantai Cenang, and Kuah
Town.
