George Koumendakos has joined the 312-key Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara as general manager since 22 March.
A seasoned hotelier with 35 years of international experience Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa, Koumendakos was most recently general manager at Mövenpick Hotel Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Also joining the hotel is Vivian Choa, who in her new role as director of sales & marketing will report to Koumendakos.
Choa brings more than 20 years of experience in her field, including Marriott International, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
In her most recent role, she led the sales & marketing team at Invito Hotel & Residence to oversee the repositioning and rebranding of the property.
