Silversea Cruises has appointed Teresa Ignacio as the assistant vice president, global guest services, effective 1 August. She will report to Massimo Brancaleoni, the senior vice president of global Sales.

In her new role, Ignacio will collaborate with Silversea's regional managing directors to develop and implement a global operational strategy across all Silversea contact centres.

With over 25 years of experience, Ignacio started her career in the Philippines in the shipping and telecommunications industries before leading service operations in consumer electronics in the Asia Pacific region. She later relocated to the US, where she oversaw the Consumer Managed Services programme for a major American multinational financial services corporation.

Brancaleoni believes that Ignacio’s comprehensive experience in call centre operations “will be instrumental in successfully elevating our brand's world-class customer service operations for the benefit of guests and travel advisors”.

"It's an honour to be part of the growing Silversea brand,” Ignacio said. “I'm very excited to be a key enabler as we strengthen the brand's exceptional guest experience."
